Aluminium 1100 Hex Bars consist of at least 99.0% aluminium, making them one of the purest aluminium grades available on the market. This high aluminium content ensures excellent corrosion resistance, along with high thermal and electrical conductivity, and remarkable workability. In terms of mechanical properties, they boast a tensile strength of about 90 MPa (13 ksi), a yield strength of around 34 MPa (5 ksi), and impressive elongation of up to 35%. While these bars cannot be heat treated, they can be cold worked to enhance strength while still allowing for good formability, making them ideal for light-duty structural and decorative uses.
